Gaming Community MARSOC

  • Organised and structured gaming (We play by the ShackTac ArmA2 TTP2 Guide )
  • Pragmatic  (We dont spend hours planning)
  • Easy ranking system (All can grow into what they are capable off)
  • Realism (tactics, authentic simulated combat as serious fun)
  • Mature, easy going community. (we are not a milsim but a community that likes to play seriously)
  • Dedication (we want members to be active ingame and in the community)

Welcome to our website

MARSOC was started in december 2009 by a few gamers that wanted to focus on good quality gaming(After playing together for years and since OFP). We focus on tactics, realism and simulated combat while maintaining a healty and fun community.

Our current memberpool has lots of experiene in organised structured gaming. As players we like to have fun, playing a structured game conforming with the roles within the game. We are COOP oriented but sometimes we use PVP elements to make story based missions interesting by performing things the AI is not capable off.

MARSOC was founded in the same theme as Shack Tactical and uses (with permission) much of the structure and organisation that can be found there. We are however active in the european time zone (CET).

We aim to get large scale organised battles and events. Joining MARSOC you should understand we play seriously but the community is quite easy going and pragmatic. We love following procedures in our games while maintaining a free aprouch to our gaming. If you are after a milsim experience you will be in for a disappointment( no drill instructors, generals, medals etc). If however you are about good fun while being able to act "seriously" ingame you are on the right spot.

We have a weekly event which takes place on friday at 20:30 CET (GMT +1) and you will be required to attend on a regular basis. (Yes we know life can bug you in that but the intention should be made clear). You can enjoy our ACE2 24/7 dedicated arma server, our 24/7 private teamspeak server and our endless mission generator all together in a full integrated structured gameplay.

It is envisaged that casual sessions will take place during the week. The server (ACE2) is available 24/7 and it is there to have good serious fun any day of the week. This period of time is an excellent way for members and new joiners to show what they got and have a good time. Leaves me to say that your ingame performance has little meaning to us compared to your community performance.

Needed:

  • Good attitude :)
  • Arma 2, skype and teamspeak 3
  • No militairy knowledge required at all.
  • Willingness to listen, read and learn.
  • Have a good time with us.

Techno stuff(Specific and detailed info available after joining):

  • ACE2 mods and a variety of others are on the server.
  • We use the Six-updater  to update our server and to update the clients.
  • Our missions make use of MCC (mission control centre). This means we can start and do basicly anything, anywhere, against any force.
  • We have integrated the F2 framework into our missions. Giving us the full hierarchy to play as mentioned in the online ShackTac ArmA2 TTP2 Guide.
  • With the integration of the F2 framework we have also automated the gear. This means all have the gear needed (ACE2 from fireteam to platoon lead)
  • Ready to go attachments and crew served weapon teams from ACE2.
  • We switched over from teamspeak 2 to teamspeak 3.
  • Our website has been made final and we implemented a (we think so) cool looking theme.
  • Basic training sessions have started and begins to payoff.

The thing to remember is that we are all here to have fun, so be considerate to your fellow community members. Play the game hard and pay attention to your commanders.
